Women Making A Difference

Philanthropy is a collective effort. However, because the Giving Alliance of Women is more strategic in approach, it enables members to solve issues and problems right at the source. At the same time, through the Alliance, women can enjoy the involvement, participation and camaraderie of being part of a cause-driven group.

Become A Philanthropist

We invite all women of our community to participate in this endeavor and become informed, strategic philanthropists. How involved you wish to be is up to you. As a member, you need only make your annual contribution. If you prefer, however, there will be opportunities for more involvement such as:

Attend our Giving Alliance gatherings throughout the year
Participate in a project
Get involved on a committee

Members' annual donations are used for grants as well as to increase the permanent endowment fund. Grants to local nonprofit organizations are selected by the Giving Alliance of Women's grants committee and funded by both annual contributions and income from the endowment fund. The Giving Alliance of Women currently has over $250,000.00 in its endowment fund and has distributed over $240,000.00 in grants.

The Giving Alliance of Women hosts several events and special projects throughout the year in which women and guests can come together to network, award grants, learn about the impact of past grants and the needs of the community.
